Audrey Cyrus

Audrey J. Cyrus, 83, of Motley, passed away October 8, 2018, at the Lakewood Care Center in Staples. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Mon., Oct. 15 at the Motley Free Methodist Church in Motley with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls. 

Audrey J. Symanietz was born December 18, 1934 in South St. Paul to  Carl and Mathilda (Anderson) Symanietz. She  married Glenn Cyrus on November 22, 1952. Together they enjoyed 61 years of marriage. The couple lived in Randall for many years before moving to Motley. Audrey worked at Gambles Department Store and later worked at Hardware Hank in Motley for many years. She was an active member at the Motley Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening, taking trips with friends and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Wendy (Jim) Kestner of Randall and Lori (Craig) Boyer of Motley and one son, Mike (Debbie) Cyrus of Fort Mojave, AZ; 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents and sister, Rosemary.
