SCORE gathering for business entrepreneurs

Central Minnesota SCORE, Brainerd Branch, invites potential mentors and volunteers to a special event to introduce SCORE services and opportunities.

On Thursday, Aug. 9, a gathering will be held at Gull Dam Brewing in Nisswa from 5:30-7:30 p.m. There will be social time, refreshments and an opportunity to hear more about SCORE and the opportunities available to support entrepreneurs and existing business owners in the Brainerd Lakes Area and beyond. Speakers include area business owners who have benefitted from SCORE mentoring.

SCORE mentors and volunteers, both retired and working, are men and women who volunteer their time and share their business knowledge and expertise with those starting a business or leading an existing business, or nonprofit organization.

Brainerd SCORE Branch Manager Dick Jordan has issued a personal invitation to those of you who are at a point in your life where you’re ready and able to give back and help others, and in the process have a good time doing it, SCORE can provide you with an excellent opportunity to do just that.”

About SCORE: it’s a national nonprofit organization of over 12,000 mentors affiliated with the U. S. Small Business Administration.  SCORE’s mission is to “Foster vibrant small business communities through mentoring and education,” and the organization provides a wealth of tools and resources to support mentors and their clients. The Brainerd SCORE Branch is part of the Central Minnesota SCORE Chapter.
