Staples Fire Department awards



The Staples Fire Department held their awards night at the Staples Fire Hall on January 14. Two firefighters received the highest awards: Joe Hassler, left, was presented a plaque in appreciation for serving as a Staples Firefighter offi- cer for 21 years. Scott Yungbauer, right, was selected as the “Firefighter of the Year” and presented a trophy. Officers for 2012 were named: Scott Braith, Staples Fire Chief; Jeremy Reeck, 1st Assistant; Mike Rollins, 2nd Assistant; Jeff DeGeest, 3rd Assistant and Wade Bendson, Safety Officer.
