NOTICE CITY OF STAPLES ORDINANCE NO. 490
The City Council of the City of Staples does ordain:
Amendment to the Staples City Code Section 7.1.02, Subd. b - On-sale Licenses
AMENDMENT
Subd. b is hereby deleted and replaced as follows:
On-Sale Licenses. “On- Sale” licenses shall be issued only to hotels, clubs, restaurants, theaters and exclusive liquor stores and shall permit “on-sale” of liquor only.
Amendment to the Staples City Code Section 7.1.02, Subd. c - On-Sale Wine Licenses
AMENDMENT
Subd. c is hereby deleted and replaced as follows:
On-Sale Wine Licenses. “On-Sale” wine licenses, with the approval of the Commissioner of Public Safety, shall be issued only to restaurants meeting the qualifications of Minnesota Statutes Section 340A.404, Subd. 5, as it may be amended from time to time and to theaters that meet the criteria of Minnesota Statutes Section 340A.404(b), as it may be amended from time to time, and shall permit the sale of wine not exceeding 14% alcohol by volume, for consumption on the licensed premises only. In the case of restaurants only, the sale of wine must occur in conjunction with the sale of food. The holder of an on-sale wine license who also holds an on-sale 3.2% malt liquor license, is authorized to sell malt liquor with a content over 3.2% (strong beer) without an additional license.
