On Aug. 29, Janet Kiley of the Landmark Inn reported the theft of a light purple/lavender Adirondak style chair from her property. The chair is valued at about $40. She thought the theft occurred sometime after the parade on Aug. 28.

At about 1:30 a.m. Aug. 29 officers saw a vehicle driving without its headlights on. Todd Hirschey was stopped and failed field sobriety tests. He was arrested for 4th Degree DWI and transported to Todd County Jail.

A hit and run was reported on just after 1 p.m. Aug. 28. The owner of a vehicle parked it on private property on Aug. 27. The owner said a late model black GMC or Chevy truck had parked next to her vehicle. She thinks it hit her right front fender while backing up.

Another hit and run was reported Aug. 27 by Breanna Waletzko whose car was parked in front of Lakewood Manor on 5th St. NE. The left rear door sustained damage.

The police assisted the Staples Fire Department and the gas company with a gas leak on 3rd St. SW on Aug. 25. The owner of the home was using a weed whip and cut a hole in the gas line.

Officers responded to a domestic dispute on 3rd St. NE on Aug. 24. Lawrence David Crosno was arrested for domestic assault, disorderly conduct and an active Ramsey County warrant.
