On Aug. 16, a hit and run was reported at Mel’s One Stop gas station in Eagle Bend. A smaller, light blue car ran into the south side of the building. The vehicle then backed up hitting the power pole, causing the building to temporarily lose power. The vehicle then drove south on Hwy. 71.
The vehicle may also have minor damage on the driver’s side in addition of severe front end damage. The driver and the vehicle have not been located.
