Missing a chance to boast
Soon after Barack Obama became our president, he began his campaign to discredit America around the world by apologizing for every little mistake we made and many we did not make.
He had a wonderful opportunity to remind the world that in times of disasters around the world such as tidal waves, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other horrendous tragedies, the USA was often the first - and sometimes the only - nation to show up with aircraft carriers loaded with food, clothing, beds, blankets and other necessities.
He missed an opportunity to tell foreign countries about our concern for the poor and devastated of the world and instead preached his gospel of disgust for the country he was elected to serve and promote.
While I disagreed with some policies of his predecessor, I believe historians will look back at George W. Bush as one of the country’s great presidents and Obama as one of the biggest flops ever to hold the office.
