Jordan Bendson to wrestle at Concordia
Jordan Bendson has given a verbal commitment to attend Concordia College, Moorhead next year, according to Concordia College wrestling coach Clay Nagel.
“Jordan is another exceptional recruit that will fit in well at Concordia. Jordan has a great work ethic, we are looking forward to him helpinig to carry on the Cobber wrestling tradition of excellence as one of the top DIII programs in the nation. He will fit in well with-in the Cobber wrestling family.
Jordan Bendson, son of Bill and Lorna Bendson, is a 2010 Staples Motley High School graduate with a number of individual wrestling awards earned throughout his career. Among them, he is a three time individual state participant and two time individual state runner up
He won three section champion titles and he won four consecutive champion titles at both the Walker and the Fertile-Beltrami Pine to Prairie wrestling meets.
His Cardinal squad was the team section runner up in 2009. Jordan has been a varsity wrestler since eighth grade and he was named Staples Motley wrestling MVP three consecutive years. He was team captain his senior year.
He is second in Staples Motley history for total career wins, with 157 career wins and 39 losses. He has 87 career pins.
Jordan had the most pins, near falls, takedowns, wins and team points scored for the Staples Motley team in the 2009-10 season
Other activities and sports participated: Four time state cross country team participant, took seventh individually at state cross country.
