Great day for golf

Until the weather turned a bit sour later in the day, Thursday, June 17 was a great day for golf during the 8th annual Staples Motley Area Chamber of Commerce’s golf tournament. One team had just left the tee on the third hole, with a Central Lakes College team waiting their turn, along with the refreshment cart. Ten teams competed, with first place going to Tower Pizza crew of Roger Houselog, Brandon Myers, Missy Tabery and Randy Wilson. “It was a great crowd, all had fun and we almost beat the weather,” Chamber president Lee Jenkins said.
