Eva Margaret Amanda Dobson, 72, of Staples, died June 15, 2010 at the Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples.

Funeral services were held June 18, at the Johnson Memorial Home Chapel in Verndale, with Pastor Shirley Nelson offi- ciating. Burial was in the Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Arrangements were with the Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena and Verndale.

Eva was born Aug. 21, 1937 to Adolph and Ella (Koopman) Knigge, in Gibbon. Eva moved with her family in 1943, to Staples where she attended Staples public schools. She married Billie Jay Dobson on Jan. 15, 1956. Together they worked and raised their family.

Eva enjoyed walking in the woods, seeing all the wildlife, driving with her family looking for deer and early morning coffee chats with her friends at the Staples High Rise.

Eva is survived by one daughter, Toni (Leo) Jensen of Idaho; two granddaughters, Sandi of Staples; Mindi (Dale) of Idaho; two great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years; her parents; all of her brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles.
