Merickel miracle

Rev. Carol Carroll (left) reflected on the tornado that swept through her Wadena neighborhood a few hours earlier on June 17. With wind speeds estimated at 170 miles per hour, the tornado ripped up trees all around Carroll’s home (known as the Merickel Mansion), but miraculously, save for a few shattered windows, the house is still intact. Pictured with Carroll is her son-in-law, Dan Erkenbrack. (Staples World photo by Dawn Timbs) Rev.
