Senior Celebrations


Nine members attended the monthly birthday/ anniversary party held at the Staples Senior Citizen’s Room in the Staples Community Center June 8. There was only one birthday honoree for the month, Isabel Knosalla, above, celebrating her 90th birthday. She received a small decorated cake and a birthday card. The happy birthday song was sung by the audience, accompanied by Audrey Zimmer on the piano. Carol Olsen read a description of ‘Why Men are Happy’ in honor of Father’s Day.
