Special visit
On Memorial Day, May 31, members of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 70 visited the 15 veterans who reside at Lakewood Health Care Center. Each veteran was given a gift of candy and had their photograph taken. Above: Shirley Morrison, left and Janis Goff, right with WWII Navy Veteran Bill Fabian. Auxiliary members make visits to the veterans at the care center every Memorial Day and also on Veterans’ Day to show appreciation for their service to our country. (Submitted photo)
