I am writing to the newspaper to tell a story about how my truck broke down in Staples on my way up north to go fishing the evening of May 19, 2010.

The reason I am writing is to say that the people of Staples should be proud of the way the citizens treated me when my truck broke down. I had people offer their tools and driveway for me to fix my truck. That just does not happen in many towns anymore. I had four guys go out of there way to get me back on the road again.

I want to especially thank Jeff Jares, Scott Braith, Trinity Witthun and Scott from Scott’s Southtown Towing. Thanks again it was greatly appreciated.
