Central Lakes College will conduct a music video camp June 14-18 for grades 10 - adult on the Staples campus.

Music video Alexis Dingman of Cold Spring sang for the music video she helped create at the 2009 CLC Music Video Camp in Staples. High school students and adults work with video and audio equipment used in new videography production. The day camp (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.) is held in lab space to be shared with the new videography production degree program this fall.

Camp participants learn how to create a professional looking music video in just five days. The fee for instruction and all supplies includes daily lunch.

Students work in small groups to select a song. They write a script, set up and film the shots with digital video cameras and then use computers to produce and edit the timeline. When completed, students author a DVD for final presentation.
