Dedication of first pavers
Following a dedication and unveiling ceremony a crowd gathered around the first set of pavers to be placed at the Staples All Veteran’s Park Saturday. More than 60 pavers have been purchased and placed and this is just the beginning, according to organizers. Each paver features the name of a veteran, their rank, branch of service and war, campaign or armed conflict. The purchase of a paver or bench will help fund construction of the park. The design of the park was also on display. Huck Holst read the names on the pavers and local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts helped raise the 20 ft. by 30 ft. flag.
