LaVonne Wicht, 77, of Remer, died May 20, 2010 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Funeral services were held May 25, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Staples.

Arrangements were with the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.

LaVonne was born Dec. 14, 1932 in Aldrich to John and Evelyn (Martin) Wicht. She graduated from Staples High School in 1950. She moved to St. Paul and worked in the Twin Cities.She retired after 30 years working at Unisys. She then moved to a lake home in Remer until her death. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing and flower gardening.

LaVonne is survived by one son, Thomas (Diane) Wicht of Elk River; two grandchildren; three sisters, Joan Clark of Fridley; Alvina (Gary) Schmidt of Afton; DeEtta (Tom) Bilek of Aldrich; two brothers, John Wicht Jr. (Denelle) of Alexandria; William Wicht of Remer; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Michael James; parents; one sister, LaVay; and one brother-in-law, Elhart Ebel. A00006B2010MY27
