Staples Motley’s girls were busy on the links this week, despite the weather.

Kelley Hagenson shot an 81 Saturday on The Vintage course to lead the Cardinals in the annual Cardinal Invitational.

Four girls carded scores in the 70’s, including Maggie Leland from Alexandria with a 73 , Lizzy Hogan from Eden Prairie at 77, Tiffany Gretsch from Albany and Mikki Kromy from Grand Rapids, both at 79.

Aman- da Bigger from Alex came in at 80 while Hagen- son and Michelle Kleckner from Irondale each recorded 81’s.

Staples Motley finished 13th among 17 teams at the meet. Results included Kelly Hagenson 81, Tera Weyer 94, Kylee Helling 116, Cierra Waverek 120, Katie Dennis 130, Samantha Weyer 133.

Earlier, the girls finished fourth on May 13 at Blueberry Pines with a team total of 396.

Hagenson had the fifth best individual score at 78. Mikki Kromy of Grand Rapids was medalist at 75. The Cardinal girls scores after Hagenson included 90 for Emily Israelson, 106 for Tera Weyer, 113 for Helling, 116 for Katie Dennis and 123 for Cierra Waverek.
