Senior celebrations


The monthly birthday/anniversary party was held at the Staples Senior Citizens’ Center on May 11, with 18 members in attendance. Those celebrating their May birthdays were, back row, left to right: Edie Petree, Joyce Thiel and Judy Petrie. Joyce and Jim Mohler, front, celebrated their May anniversary. Celebrants were given a small cake and a card. The happy birthday/ anniversary song was sung, accompanied by Audrey Zimmer on the piano. Carol Olsen read a story in honor of Mother’s Day.
