Cass County 4-H holds ‘Project Day’

Planting trees Planting trees Cass County 4-H held its third Annual Project Day on May 1. Thirty youth and 15 adults traveled to The Life Center in Pine River to learn about a few of the 59 different project area options that are available.

This year’s project offerings included gardening, foods, fishing, robotics, poultry, rabbits, needlework, photography and forestry.

During the forestry class, Joel Lemberg of the State DNR Forestry office talked with the kids about his job and then showed the youth how to plant trees. The 4-H’ers then proceeded to plant about 30 trees at the post office and 4-H office building in Pine River.
