Sheriff Michel Wetzel Morrison County Sherif f Michel Wetzel announced May 3, that he will seek re-election to a third term of office.

Sheriff Wetzel is a 27- year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office, working his way up from a part-time dispatcher/jailer to patrol sergeant, prior to being elected sheriff in 2002.

“Aggressive drug enforcement has been a priority of my administration

and will continue to be so

in the future,” Wetzel said. “In addition, several large

initiatives are currently underway to improve our ability to fight crime including a county-wide records management system that enables all county law enforcement officers to instantly access vital information through in-squad computers.”

Sheriff Wetzel resides in rural Little Falls with his wife, Jodi, and children, Mic and Paige.
