Pretty hot
Hap and Doris Corbett could smille a little, even after their close call Saturday night. Their home’s rear door melted out of shape due to a fire that started in their clothes dryer. Firemen and friends used a plywood sheet to close the opening left after the door was removed. It must have been fairly warm inside, hot enough to melt the blades of a ceiling fan, which were bent our of normal shape. Hap, Doris, their son Phil and an insurance adjuster were looking over the home’s interior Tuesday morning. (Staples World photos by Tom Crawford)
