James Worden

James Worden, 72, of Motley, died March 11, 2010 at the Lakewood Health System Care Center.

Funeral services were held March 15, at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples. Burial was at Motley Public Cemetery.

Arrangements were with the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.

James was born Jan. 23, 1938, in Bullard Township, Wadena County, Minnesota, to Malcolm and Lena (Phelps) Worden. He graduated from Motley High School in 1958. Jim worked for Northern Pacific and Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a member of the Motley Fire Department and enjoyed fishing, drives in the country, working on cars and going out for coffee.

Jim is survived by his nieces and nephews, Earla (Mark Moris) Worden of Staples; Mike (Kathy) Worden of Albany; Matt Worden of St. Cloud, and Tina Worden and her sons, Chris and Joseph of St. Cloud; and one sister-inlaw, Karen Worden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mary Jane and two brothers, Earl Jr. and Bobby.
