For the love of coffee
The Stomping Grounds Coffee Shop may not be celebrating an eight year anniversary due to financial hardship. It would be sad to see such a wonderful asset to the Staples area not be available any longer.
Started by high school students, this non-profit coffee shop has become a safe place for people of all ages to enjoy a cup of Joe and fellowship. We have weekly Bible study groups, a knitters club, coffee clubs, Saturday morning story hour, concerts and a place for students to study and use computers.
We have provided jobs and prepared high school students for future careers by learning the basics of how to be a quality employee.
The coffee shop is at a point where we are in desperate need of volunteers to make up 75 percent of our workforce behind the counter in order for our doors to remain open. If you would like to volunteer your time or make a donation please contact The Stomping Grounds at 218-895-5750 or just stop in and see what it is all about.
