Refreshments and tours followed a ribbon cutting. Lakewood Health System staff and administrators answered questions and visited with the public.

The clinic is south of Browerville on Hwy. 71 near Dan’s Prize and was open for business on Monday, Mar. 15.

Construction started in Sept. 2009 by Nor-Son Construction Company.

In early 2009, Lakewood Health System officials made the decision to build a new clinic to accommodate community growth and the need for additional services. The new building improves visibility for Hwy. 71 traffic and offers the convenience of more parking and accessibility.

With the new building, two doctors will staff the clinic every day. The 6,400 square foot clinic includes six exam rooms, three more than the previous location, plus physical therapy services. Also new to Browerville, a Lakewood Health System surgeon will visit the clinic for appointments twice a month.
