The Staples Motley boys junior varsity squad finished a rough week of basketball with a win after losing two games earlier in the week.

Tuesday, Feb. 23, the Cards lost in overtime to Grand Rapids after having a nine point lead with 58 seconds on the clock. Grand Rapids scored three three pointer’s in the closing seconds of the regulation time and overtime to seal the victory 57-55.

Friday the Cards lost to a Crosby-Ironton team they had beaten earlier in the season 45-36 but closed out the week with a victory over Pelican Rapids 53 to 36.

The Cards close out their regular season with a home game Friday night against Sebeka.
