No one injured in school bus accident
None of the 20 passengers aboard a school bus were hurt in a minor collision Feb. 24 in Clarissa, according to the Todd County Sheriff’s Department.
The collision, which took place about 8 a.m. at an intersection of an alley and First Street North in Clarissa, involved a Chevy Tahoe driven by Kari Hinzmann and an International school bus owned by Eagle Valley Bus Service. Hinzmann was westbound attempting to make a right turn onto First Street when her vehicle hit the bus driven by Gerald Zimmer. Zimmer and his passengers were not hurt. Hinzmann and her four passengers were not hurt either.
The bus was not damaged and Hinzmann’s vehicle has moderate damage to the front left corner.
The report stated the roadway was ice covered at that intersection.
