Full house

There was a full house in the lobby/atrium of the Staples City Hall on Feb.25 for the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the new city building. Todd County Third District Commissioner Gerry Ruda (right) was one of the speakers. Ruda is the Todd County representative on the board of the Great River Regional Library system. While the city provides the space, the GRRL operates the city’s library, which had already seen a 33 percent increase in usage from January to February, an increase attributed to the new, larger and brighter library facility.
