Elsie Ahrens, a resident of Harmony House in Motley since 2002, celebrated her 103rd birthday Feb. 21. Seventy-five people attended an open house held in Elsie’s honor, including her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many friends from her church and the local area; and staff members of Harmony House. Music entertainment was provided by Elsie’s son-in-law Ken and friends. Elsie said she attributes “hard work” to living a long, healthy life. (Submitted photo)
