Motley accident
A Motley woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident shortly before noon Monday at the intersection of Highway 10 and 210 in Motley. Betty Farber was admitted to the Lakewood Health System Hospital in Staples with apparent back injuries and bruises, according to a family member. Her vehicle had already been removed when this photo was taken. She was westbound on Highway 10 when her car and a semi-truck (at right) pulling an empty flatbed trailer collided. The tractor/trailer driver, whose identity and condition were not available, was also taken to the hospital by Staples Ambulance Service. The truck was an E.W. Wylie transport. The only other passenger in either vehicle was a dog in the truck (see photo below). The pet was taken from the scene by a member of the Motley Fire and Rescue service, which responded along with the Motley Police and Minnesota State Patrol, which was investigating the accident.
