Rose Tepley
Rose Tepley, 96, of Browerville, died Feb.13, 2010, at the Lakewood Health System in Staples.
Funeral services were, held Feb. 17, 2010 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Clarissa. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Browerville.
Arrangements were with the Iten Funeral Home, Browerville and Clarissa.
Rose was born April 13,1913 on her family farm in Ward Township, Todd County, to Charles and Anna (Cline) Sadlo. She attended country school at District # 160 through the eighth grade. Rose married Henry Tepley on Oct. 14, 1931, in Long Prairie. Henry and Rose purchased a small farm in 1936 in Moran Township. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Clarissa. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing and embroidering, making quilts for all her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren, gardening and canning. Rose also worked as a cook and waitress at Pine Cafe in Browerville and in Staples.
Rose is survived by three sons, Louis (MaryAnn) Tepley of Clarissa; Jerry (Wanda) Tepley of Eagle Bend; Richard Tepley of Browerville; two daughters, Adeline (Chuck) Noska of Browerville; Diana (Klaus) Oefele of Salt Lake City, Utah; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 12 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Gene Tepley; one granddaughter; two brothers, George, Elmer; and three sisters, Agnes, Elizabeth and Helen.
Casket Bearers were Brian, Evan and Bo Tepley, Nick, Gabe and Henry Noska.
