Walk for Haiti

The Central Lakes College Graphic Design Club, aka The Artery, held a five kilometer Pledge Walk for Haiti on Feb. 11. The money raised (just over $900) will go to Diane Scearcy, Executive Director of the CLC Foundation, who will forward it on to Project Haiti. When the students started the walk, it was one degree outside and 82 degrees in Haiti. Twenty-one students and two instructors, all part of the Communication Art and Design program, walked the 3.1 miles down and back along Airport Road. A pizza party followed with food provided by Tower Pizza. Tee shirts were made and provided by North Portage Embroidery, Staples.
