At their Feb. 16 meeting, the Todd County Board of Commissioners voted to remove Tim Cadwallader from his position as Solid Waste Director.

The commissioners said Cadwallader had engaged in serious employee misconduct. Details of the misconduct will be released in the future, according the County Administrator Nathan Burkett.

According to previous published reports, Cadwallader appeared in Todd County District Court Dec. 23 on charges of driving while under the influence. He had been arrested two days before in Clarissa while driving a Todd County owned vehicle.  Cadwallader, who is also a Long Prairie-Grey Eagle School Board member,  was charged with two counts of driving under the influence.

Bail at that time was set at $12,000 bond/cash with no conditions or $6,000 bond/$600 cash with a number of conditions.

According to the complaint filed in district court, Eagle Bend Police Officer Bobby Berndt arrested Cadwallader behind Olson’s Truck and Tractor Repair in Clarissa after two motorists reported a full sized blue truck was being driven in a dangerous manner, southbound on U. S. Highway 71.

A breath test administered at the Todd County Detention Center indicated a .21 blood alcohol concentration, according to the complaint.

According to Burkett at that time, Cadwallader had been placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation.
