Girls notch two wins over Pequot, Osakis
The Staples Motley Cardinal girls, winners of four of their past five games, this week head to Long Prairie and Park Rapids for two more key basketball games, one in the section and one in their conference.
The girls added two more victories to their count last week, inp roving their rec o rd to 14-4. The girls def eated Osakis 68- 34 on Feb. 5 and downed Little Falls 55-28 the next day.
Caitlin Robinson led all scorers with 13 points and Nikki Pearson added 10 as the Staples Motley Cardinals dominated the Little Falls Flyers 55-28 Saturday.
The Cardinals held Little Falls to 10-of-44 (23 percent) shooting and forced 26 Flyers turnovers.
Nikki Pearson scored 14 points to lead the Cardinals past the Osakis Silverstreaks 68-34 in non-conference action Friday.
Robinson added 13 points and Ashley Lisson 12 for the Cardinals.
