The Staples Motley boys JVbasketball team defeated the Pillager JV by a score of 54 to 30. on Monday, Feb. 1.

Colton Hill lead all Cardinal scorers with 12 points.

The Staples Motley boy’s JV team split games last weekend beating Pequot Lakes 54-51 Friday with their best game of the year and losing against a very athletic Minneapolis Washburn team at home 70- 39 on Saturday night.

Scoring Vs. Pequot Lakes; Colton Hill lead the Cardinal scorers with 18 points followed by Zack Borders 13, Grant Longbella 9, Jordan Jenkins-6, Alex Jansson -4, Lucas Nelson 3, Seth Holland 2 and Tanner Robers1.

Scoring Vs.Washburn; Colton Hill 12, Tanner Roberts 2, Grant Longbella 8, Lucas Nelson 2, Jordan Jenkins 4, Zack Borders 4 Seth Holland 7.

The Cards, 6 wins and 7 losses, play Pierz and Minnewaska this week.
