The primary purpose of this informational meeting is to educate the public and provide information about the Judicial Ditches in Staples, particularly the processes associated with maintenance, repairs, benefi ts, assessments, and other ditch-related activity.
All interested landowners are welcome and encouraged to attend this Informational Meeting. The City Council of the City of Staples does ordain:
Amendment to the Staples City Ordinance Section 5.6 - Staples Zoning Ordinance, Section 707 - Permitted Encroachments.
AMENDMENT
The following line shall be added to the end of the second paragraph of Section 707: “Awnings are permitted as encroachments, so long as the awning is set back from the back of the curb a distance of five (5) feet and the lowest point on the awning is no less than eight (8) feet from the ground level below the awning.”
