Patricia Frisk

Patricia Frisk, 77, of Motley, died Jan. 26, 2010, at Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples.

Funeral services were held Jan. 30, at the Motley United Methodist Church.

Arrangements were with the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.

Patricia was born May 15, 1932, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Douglas and Valetta Galligher. Her childhood years were spent on the Birch Hill family farm near Pillager. She graduated from Motley High School in 1950 as the Valedictorian.

After high school Patricia married Douglas Herbert Frisk on Jan. 10, 1951, at Motley United Methodist Church. They were married for 46 years and resided on the family farm south of Motley.

She was employed for 23 years with Staples United District Hospital as an Operating Room Technician and an active member in her community and church. She loved to cook for her family and friends.

Patricia is survived by four sons, Greg (Sherry) of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; Randy (Norma) of Bemidji; Marlin (Sharon); Mark (Sherry) both of Motley; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Barbara (Russell) Schrupp of Detroit Lakes.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997; parents; two brothers, Ronald and Thomas (infant).
