Marilyn Mancuso

Marilyn “Mugs” E. Mancuso, 66, of Big Lake, died Jan. 30, 2010 at home.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, from 1 to 4 p.m. at McPete’s Sports Bar and Lane, Big Lake.

Arrangements are with Benson Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Mugs was born April 23, 1943, in San Rafael, Calif. to Ellsworth J. and Irene A. (Beaver) Martin. She grew up in Staples, where she was active in theater, receiving awards in speech and drama. Mugs graduated from Staples High School, Class of 1961. She married Edward A. Mancuso on Dec. 10, 1976 in Anoka. She worked selling pull tabs for several different organizations

in Big Lake and was

known locally as the POW - MIA lady.

Mugs is survived by her husband, one son, Chad Erbe of Warroad; one daughter, Brenda Erbe of Big Lake; one brother, William J. Martin of Fargo, N.D.; three sisters, Kitt (Bob) Carroll of Jenks, Okla.; Margo (Steven, Sr.) Hoemberg of Staples; and Marjean (Howard) Meyer of Okatie, S.C.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Lena Glorene Erbe; and one sister, Marian Carroll. A00006B2009FB04
