Fifth grade Experiment There was a tie for grand champion in the fifth grade Fifth grade Experiment There was a tie for grand champion in the fifth grade The annual Science Fair was held for students in fourth and fifth grades at Staples Elementary School Jan. 29. Judging was completed that afternoon and awards ribbons presented Feb. 1. The winners now advance to the Freshwater Education District Regional Science Fair to be held Feb. 10 and 11 at the Bertha Community Center in Bertha. The public is invited to view the projects, with the awards ceremony scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m. on Feb. 11.

Thirty-two fourth and fifth grade SES students participated in this year’s Science Fair and 14 students advance to the regional competition.
