Lindbom, Staples, wins twice at Canterbury Nationals
Ben Lindbom of Staples won both the Sport Super Stock classes at last weekend’s AMSOIL Championship Snowcross Series (ACSS) Air Force National in Shakopee.
Lindbom’s number 104 energized the crowd with his high flying speed to win both the Sport Super Stock classes on his Polaris.
Sponsored by FXR and Studboy, Ben was all smiles as he stood up on the podium not once but twice in front of an enormous crowd of dedicated snocross fans.
Ben took to the track as the number one qualifier on Saturday, Jan. 23.
In the Sport Super Stock #1 final Ben maintained his control at the start of the Studboy sponsored holeshot down on the field, settling into third position as he came into turn one. However by the time he was heading down the fly way on the flats Ben was closing in fast and he took command of first position as he nailed the triple down the back stretch.
He led for the next two laps but on lap 3 three on the back stretch, Ben was overtaken to fall back into second place. The next lap, on the back stretch Ben hammered his way into first position, only this time he was able to hold on for the win.
In Sport Super Stock No. 2 the story was much the same with exception that after the Studboy hole shot, Ben took the lead on the first lap and never looked back.
By lap number seven he was overtaking traffic as he appeared to be in top form. Ben was determined to sweep his Sport Super Stock classes for the weekend event.
