Eighth grade champs


The Staples Motley eighth grade girls basketball team won the Mid State Conference junior high girls basketball title on Jan. 16. The young Cardinals defeated Crosby-Ironton 44-23, Detroit Lakes 34-19 and Pequot Lakes in the championship round 57-22.
