Five-year-old Allison Knosalla met her goal of donating her long locks to the “Locks of Love” program when she had her hair cut Jan 14 at “R” Salon in Staples. Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. Allison donated 11-1/2 inches of hair to the program (the minimum is 10”). Allison sent her hair to Locks of Love, based in West Palm Beach, Florida and will receive a certificate for her donation. Allison is the daughter of Jess and Tia Knosalla, Staples. Above: Darcy Mertens, R Salon, trimmed Allison’s braids.
