Following the freezing rain Jan. 23, the snow also came down. Nature first encased everything in ice layers and then crowned with snow. Some of the snow melted Sunday, which then refroze overnight.
Above: Evergreen branches sported frozen drippings off their encased needles.
Left: A leftover clinging and somewhat tattered leaf encased in ice looked like a bleeding heart plant.
