The Staples Motley JV basketball team blew a 10 point lead over Detroit Lakes losing 43 to 42 on Jan. 12.

Turnovers and missed free throws cost the Cards an opportunity to pull out a win in the final seconds of the game.

The JV squad also dropped two other games last week bringing their record to 3 wins and 5 losses. The Cards lost to Perham 49 to 24 and at home to Fargo Shanley 65 to 51.
