Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. the Todd County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Commissioners Meeting Room, Main Street Government Center, 347 Central Ave, Long Prairie to consider the following applications:

Philip Stueve: (Paul and Donna Jenc Property). (24.35 acres) NW NW4, lying E of Hwy except parts sold, Section 19, Round Prairie Township.

Preliminary Plat of “Stueve Addition”: 6.82 acres of the above described property lying southeasterly of the centerline of Hwy. #71 and southerly of the Midway Gas tract to be developed as a one lot plat. CITY OF STAPLES

NOTICE is hereby given that the Staples City Council gave an ordinance its first reading amending Section 707 (Permitted Encroachments) of the Staples Zoning Ordinance to establish setback and height requirements for awnings.

The proposed amendment specifies that awnings are permitted encroachments on setback and height requirements, so long as the awning is set back from the back of the curb a distance of five feet and the lowest point on the awning is no less than eight feet from the ground level below the awning.

The second and final reading will be considered at the January 26, 2010 Staples City Council meeting.
