Mary Jane Nevin, 83, of Staples, died Jan. 20, 2010 at the Lakewood Health System Hospital. 

A memorial service was held Jan. 23, at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.

Arrangements were with the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.

Mary Jane was born in Carlisle, Penn. to Paul and Emma Snyder on June 8, 1926. On June17, 1945 she married Robert Thomas Nevin. They resided in Philadelphia until 1991, when Robert passed away.  Mary Jane moved to Staples in 2007.

Mary Jane is survived by four daughters, Marylouise (Tom) Sturgill of Orlando, Fla.; Caroline (Ron) Teague of New Jersey; Kathleen (Ferris “Skeet”) Altice of Va.; Patricia (Darrell) Wilson of Minn.; two sons, Robert Nevin Jr. of N.J.; Paul Nevin of Minn.; 29 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson; one brother, Paul Franklin (Thelma) Snyder and one sister, Gayle Roberts. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Thomas Nevin; one great-granddaughter; and one sister, Dorothy Ocker;
