Results of actions
I read in the paper that Ernie’s is asking to sell alcohol even though it is expressed that we already have enough or too many outlets for alcohol. Are you listening city council?
The city has been looking at what businesses are needed here. I can think of one–a pick up for dry cleaning. The cleaners we had went out of business so now if I have dry cleaning, I go to Wadena. And while there, do some shopping that I probably could have done here.
Why couldn’t Ernie’s have contracted with a dry cleaning business and use part of his store for that instead of the alcohol? I am very sorry that we are seriously considering another alcohol outlet. This proves where our mind and desires are. I deal with the aftermath of the disease called alcoholism. I am the Chaplain at Bell Hill Recovery Center and see the ruined marriages, family ties and lives that this disease brings. Don’t let money talk. Think of what are the results of your actions. Staples could become the alcohol center–Great.
