Rebecca Nordell and Christopher Groenwold were united in marriage August 8, 2009, at the Thomastown Covenant Church north of Staples. Pastor Dan Werthman of Lakewood Evengelical Church, Baxter, officiated.

Parents are Kent and Donna Nordell, Staples and Jerry and Peg Groenwold, Baxter.

Maids of honor were Jessi Farber, cousin of the bride and Ashley Kujawa friend. Bridesmaids were Brittany Brenny, Emily Braaflat, friends, and Amanda Groenwold, groom’s sister-in-law. Flower girl was Annie Hansen, niece of the groom.

Best man was John Groenwold, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Aaron Mertes, friend, Tyler Nordell, brother of the bride and Chris Newhouse and Eric Bohn, friends. Ushers were Nathan Hagge, cousin of the groom and Nate Rambeck, friend. Ring bearer was Charlie Hansen, nephew of the groom.

A reception was held at T Maxwells, Staples.

The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and are making their home in the Brainerd area.

Rebecca is a 2005 graduate of Staples Motley High School and a 2009 graduate of Northland Community College of East Grand Forks, as a Certified Radiology Technician.

Christopher is a 2001 graduate of Brainerd High School. He joined the Marines and has served two tours in Iraq and was stationed in California.
