Lucille “Luci” Mary Karlson, 62, of Wadena, died Dec. 19, 2009 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud.

Funeral services were held Dec. 22, at Zion Free Lutheran Church in Wadena with Pastor Jeremy Vance officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Leaf River Cemetery.

Arrangements were with the Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena.

Luci was born May 5, 1947, to Stanley and Ruth Stemson in Oylen. She worked as caregiver to the residents at the Oakridge Homes Jefferson House. She enjoyed collecting knick knacks, shopping, listening to country music and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Luci is survived by, two sons, Jerry (Jessie) Karlson of Wadena; Bob Karlson of Sioux Falls, S.D.; her mother, six grandchildren; one brother, Rob (Janet) Stemson of Wash.; nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Honarary pallbearer was Paul Maki. Pall bearers were Rob Stemson, Jerry, Bob, Aaron, Austin and Jack Karlson.
