Leonore Elizabeth Huff, 96, of Brainerd, died Dec. 21, 2009, in Fargo, N. D.

Funeral services were held Dec. 26, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Brainerd.

Burial was in Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Arrangements were with the Brenny Funeral Home in Baxter.

Leonore was born Nov. 7, 1913, in Florence, Wisc. to Myron and Eva (St. Onge) Huff. In 1930, the family moved to Staples where she attended high school. After graduation, she attended Normal Training graduating in 1932. She taught in rural schools for five years before she went back to college in Fargo for business. She worked as a secretary for many years in Minneapolis and retired in 1977 from Visiting Nurses Service.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Minneapolis, Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples and St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Brainerd. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of a number of clubs.

Leonore is survived by eight nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lawrence; one nephew, Joe and one niece, Phyllis.
